Why does the Toyota bZ3X suit buyers in Kazakhstan?
Kazakhstan's cold winters favour EVs with a heat pump, and the bZ3X has one as standard alongside a liquid-cooled LFP battery. It is a Toyota-badged 5-seat compact SUV with CLTC ranges of 430, 520 or 610 km, a good fit for Almaty and Astana city use and for taxi or corporate fleets. Consumption of about 12.5 kWh per 100 km (manufacturer data) helps keep running costs predictable for high-mileage drivers.
- Heat pump and LFP battery on every trim.
- Left-hand drive, matching Kazakhstan's right-hand traffic.
- DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in about 24 minutes (manufacturer data).
- Entry 430 Air+ trims for price-focused fleets; see the 2026 430 Air+.
What import rules should you check before ordering?
As an EAEU member, Kazakhstan applies TR CU 018/2011 on wheeled vehicle safety, so imported cars need a type approval or an SBKTS before an electronic passport is issued. Customs is run by the State Revenue Committee (kgd.gov.kz).
The temporary duty-free EAEU regime for electric cars ended for Kazakhstan at the end of 2025, and the State Revenue Committee has said electric vehicles are imported under the general procedure from 2026, with customs duties and taxes paid.
Duty, VAT and registration fees for EVs in Kazakhstan have changed recently. Confirm the current figures with your customs broker before ordering; we do not quote them.
The car charges on the Chinese GB/T standard; for CCS2 sites see our GB/T to CCS2 conversion guide. Infotainment is Chinese-market; read the navigation and voice assistant guide.
How is the bZ3X shipped to Kazakhstan?
Kazakhstan borders China, so cars usually travel overland by car-carrier truck or by rail rather than by sea. The border crossing, transit time and freight are confirmed for each order, and in-stock cars leave within 10 working days after payment.
What documents come with each car?
Each car comes with the commercial invoice, packing list, transport document, Chinese export clearance papers and the technical data needed for SBKTS. Our customs documents checklist lists every item, and we send photo or video confirmation at loading and departure.

Questions buyers ask
Is the Toyota bZ3X still duty-free in Kazakhstan?
Not according to the State Revenue Committee, which said electric vehicles are imported under the general procedure from 2026, with duties and taxes paid, after the EAEU duty-free regime ended for Kazakhstan. Rules may change again, so confirm the current position with your customs broker before you order.
How does the bZ3X reach Kazakhstan from China?
Usually overland, by car-carrier truck or rail across the China–Kazakhstan border, which avoids sea freight. The crossing, freight and delivery date depend on your city and order size and are confirmed per order. Mixed trims can travel in one consignment.
Is the bZ3X suitable for Kazakhstan winters?
Every trim has a standard heat pump and a liquid-cooled LFP battery, which help in cold weather. Range still drops in deep frost, as with any EV, so fleets should plan charging with margin. We do not publish winter range figures; the manufacturer quotes CLTC ranges of 430, 520 and 610 km.
